27th Grand Chapitre, Bailliage de Malaisie
It is with great pleasure, on behalf of the members of the Bailliage de Malaisie, that I extend a warm invitation for you to join us for our Grande Chapître to be held in Penang on 23rd September 2004 and in Kuala Lumpur on 24th September 2004.

This is an important occasion in our calendar of activities and is the highlight of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs within our yearly program. It is our honour to inform you that the Grand Argentier Mr Joseph Girard will be officiating at the Intronisation Ceremony.

I look forward to welcoming each and every one of you to our beautiful and friendly country, and it will be an event to be remembered.

Indonesia seems to be leading the way in Asia with aggressive growth in both new members and now a new Bailliage (the 3rd in Indonesia) in the city of Surabaya. All members are welcome to join the Surabaya events and meet the Bailli Alain Borgers, the General Manager Shangri-La Surabaya. A Chapître Dinner will be held on the 26th of November at the Hyatt Surabaya, which promises an evening of fine cuisine with an Italian theme. Please contact the Surabaya Bailliage for complete details.

All the Bailliage in Indonesia would like to participate in the support of the Concours International des Jeunes Commis Rôtisseurs which is planned to coincide with the Grand Chapître du Canada in Alberta in September 2004. We feel that in 2005 this will be a worthy cause to be associated with and more news will follow on this exciting event.

Saw the Bailliage du Bali with a special event of lawn bowling in the afternoon followed by a BBQ. Some 45 members and families turned out for this event which seemed to have more them interested in the wines during the late afternoon than the bowling. It was a fun and relaxed day without the usual black tie we wear when we all get together.
